I realize I haven’t done a Friday Favorites in forever. I’m sorry! But here we go, I’m back at it and today’s post is going to feature all of my favorite things for spring!!
1. Soy Candles
I’ve recently become obsessed with soy candles vs. regular wax candles. They burn so much cleaner which means less smoke in the air. They also burn longer which means more candle time for less money. And their smell is so much more potent. All in all, soy > wax. End of story. My favorites are the Marshmallow Pop, Pink Peony, and Be Green candles from the Signature Soy collection at Target. They’re very inexpensive and smell amazing!
2. Bush pink
The color blush is almost always in style but in spring, especially. Here’s one of my favorite looks I’ve seen with the color.
3. Pastel Moleskines
The Easter Bunny brought these for me this year, probably because he knows my obsession with Moleskine Journals and pastel colors. (I believe he found them at target. 😉 ) I love them and use them almost everyday. As a natural writer I’m always buying new journals and these are so pretty and functional.
4. Passion Pit’s New Album, Kindred.
You guys. So much jamming happened when I first heard this album a few weeks ago. I love Passion Pit and this album really surpassed my expectations. Again, so many jamz. Listen to it on Spotify here.
5. Vintage Style Bikes
Be still, my heart. I love love love love the color and style of these bikes. Growing up I always rode my bike and now currently own a sporty-er style. For this summer I’ hoping to pick one similar to this up. Maybe the its the eclectic nostalgia, maybe its the adorable flowing sticking out of the basket, all I know is-I need something like this in my life right now.
My Not-So Favorites:
1. Yes-to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes
I recently heard a good review of these makeup removing face wipes and thought I would give them a try. I was not pleased with the way they work. And frankly, I hate them. I usually use the Simple Kind To Skin Makeup Remover Wipes which I am happy with, but I just thought I’d try something new. The Yes-To wipes were much much thinner and the remover formula hardly worked. It had me rubbing my eye makeup off for 15 minutes. It also caused more redness and pulling of the skin around my eyes. I wasn’t pleased with the way these worked and don’t recommend buying them. However, I love the Simple ones and highly recommend those.
I hope you all have some better insight into what I’m loving and not loving right now.
